For select desktops and notebooks, HP offers multi-unit eco-packaging which packages multiple units into a slimmed down, single packaging solution. These multi-unit packaging solutions typically result in less overall packaging material usage, a lighter shipping load, and increased shipping densities, all of which lead to significant carbon emission reductions via transport.

HP Commercial Desktops, All-in-One’s, ThinClients and Workstations are currently orderable with some form of bulk packaging, whether it be a 2-unit pack or a 10-unit pack.

HP reduced paper-based packaging for home and office printers and supplies, PCs, and displays by 12,900 tonnes in 2023, compared to 2022, while also decreasing GHG emissions associated with packaging and transportation. Shipping more than 56,000 notebooks, over 184,000 desktop PCs, and about 1,300 workstations in bulk (where several products share one package) played a key role in this reduction achievement.
