HP uses ecolabels and certifications, like EPEAT, to validate our portfolio’s performance, we ensure credibility and transparency and give confidence to our customers by supporting easy to adopt sustainability purchase criteria.

Under EPEAT 1.0, products are evaluated against criteria such as material selection, energy efficiency, product longevity, and design for end of life. EPEAT 2.0 introduces a modular framework covering climate, resource use, chemicals, supply chains, and (for printers only) consumables. Products in both versions are rated Bronze, Silver, or Gold.

HP is a long-standing leader in EPEAT, with one of the highest numbers of EPEAT Gold and Silver registrations for personal systems globally.1 In the United States, since 2022, 100% of HP notebooks, workstations, and displays have achieved EPEAT Gold registration under EPEAT 1.02; since December 2025,  EPEAT 2.0 registrations have been introduced, with products achieving Gold or Silver, and HP holding the highest number of EPEAT Gold registrations.3

Existing EPEAT 1.0 registrations remain valid through June 2027, ensuring continuity as products transition to the EPEAT 2.0 framework.

Many of our home and office electronic products are EPEAT registered. To see all HP products registered and the tiers achieved please see the registry on https://www.epeat.net/
