Currently, HP inks are not designed or evaluated for toy or children's applications and accordingly they should not be used in toy printers, for printing on toys, or in other applications that would result in prolonged skin contact or oral exposure in children. All HP inks undergo a rigorous evaluation process to demonstrate that they are safe for printing on intended media. In many jurisdictions, however, specific regulations apply to consumer products that are used by or intended for use by children, including requirements that relate to the presence of certain substances in toys and other children's products. These requirements are evolving rapidly.

HP inks are not typically evaluated for compliance with these regulations. Consumers and other businesses should only use HP inks in this type of application after they complete an appropriate health and safety evaluation and regulatory assessment specific to the proposed use.
