HP frequently receives customer questions about “LEED certified” products or how HP products can contribute to LEED certification. To appropriately answer the question, it is important to know that the LEED standards define expectations for the design and construction of buildings. In fact, one of the minimum requirements for LEED certification is that the project being certified “must be a building.” Thus, technology products cannot be “LEED certified.” In fact, the U.S. Green Building Council answers this specific question in one of their Frequently Asked Questions documents. 


However, products and services do play a role and can help projects with credit achievement, but do not themselves earn project points. Read more in the attached brochure.
