All HP toners contain carbon.  Toner is essentially small plastic particles that fuse to paper during the printing process and nearly all plastic WW is manufactured partly from a carbon source.

HP Color LaserJet Black toner contains carbon black which is commonly used as a colorant in black toner.  Carbon black is bound in the plastic matrix of the toner and in its bound form, carbon black does not present any carcinogenic risk.

HP monochrome LaserJet "black" toner does not use carbon black as a colorant.  HP sells many different LaserJet monochrome printer models and we recommend contacting customer sales support at one of the numbers in the following list to recommend a product suitable for your operation specifications.
