It is an easy-to-use resource for purchasers, manufacturers, resellers and others to identify environmentally preferable devices. EPEAT®-registered products meet strict environmental criteria that address the full product lifecycle, from energy conservation and toxic materials to product longevity and end-of-life management. EPEAT-registered products offer a reduced environmental impact across their lifecycles. Australian Government ICT Sustainability Plan 2010-2015 from Department of Environment supports procurement of ICT equipment with EPEAT Silver or equivalent.
